# Autom Pricing

Autom is a pay-as-you-go SERP API. You buy credits, then spend one credit per
successful request. There is no monthly subscription, no per-engine surcharge,
and no fee on failed requests. Prices below are prepaid credit packs, valid for
1 year. All paid plans include real-time (uncached) results, custom search
location, and 90-day log retention.

## Credit model

1 API request = 1 credit, on every endpoint (Google Search, Google News, Google
Images, Bing, Brave, Perplexity). Only successful responses (HTTP 200) consume
credits. 4xx and 5xx responses are free.

## Plans

All plans in one table. Credits equal the number of successful API requests
included in the pack. Standard is the most popular plan.

## FAQ

### How much does one request cost?

Each successful API request costs 1 credit, regardless of the endpoint (Google,
Bing, Brave, Perplexity, and others). Failed requests (4xx, 5xx) do not consume
credits. On Starter that is $1.00 per 1,000 requests; higher packs go down to
$0.30 per 1,000 requests.

### Is Autom free to start?

Yes. New accounts get 1,000 free requests on signup, with no credit card
required. [Create an account](https://app.autom.dev/register).

### Is there a monthly subscription?

No. Pricing is prepaid credit packs. You pay for the pack, credits last 1 year,
and unused credits stay in your balance until they expire. There is no recurring
subscription.

### When are credits deducted?

One credit is deducted for each successful request (HTTP 200). Failed requests
are not billed. When your credit balance reaches zero, new queries are rejected
until you buy more credits.

### How quickly will I receive a result?

In general, queries return in 1 to 2 seconds. An individual request can take
longer (2-4s) when we retry against Google. We monitor response times closely.

### How many queries can I submit per second?

Rate limits depend on the pack, from 50 requests/second on Starter up to 500
requests/second on Mega and Ultra. Ultimate is 300 requests/second, about 15,000
to 18,000 searches per minute. If you need higher concurrency,

### Are the queries made in real-time?

Yes. Each API call queries the search engine for the latest results. We do not
cache responses, so you get the current SERP.

### Can I customize the search query location?

Yes. You can set country, language, and more precise areas such as cities or
neighborhoods. See the

### What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover).

### What is your refund policy?

We offer a full refund within 7 days of your initial credit purchase unless you
have used more than 20% of your credits.

### Can I request an API for another search engine?

Yes. You can create a feature request on our
[Public Roadmap](https://autom.featurebase.app/). We cannot build every engine,
but we add APIs where they are needed and feasible.
