How quickly will I receive a result?

In general, all queries are returned in 1 to 2 seconds. Sometimes an individual request can take longer (2-4s) when we have to retry submitting it to Google. We are monitoring the response times closely.

How many queries can I submit per second?

Our default rate limit for the Ultimate credits is 300 queries per second. This allows you to perform approximately 15,000 to 18,000 searches in 1 minute. If your specific use case requires a higher concurrency we are able to change this limit.

Are the queries made in real-time?

Accepted Answer

Yes, whenever you call our API we directly query Google for the latest results. We do not cache anything so the returned response will reflect the latest SERP results of Google.

Can I customize the search query location?

Yes, you are able to set the search location by specifying the country, language, and more precise areas like cities or neighborhoods. Check our geographic location documentation: https://docs.autom.dev/api-reference/google/search#geographic-location

When are credits deducted?

Every time you receive successful responses to queries, we will deduct credits from your account balance. When your credit balance reaches zero, we will stop accepting new queries.

What is your refund policy?

We offer a full refund within 7 days of your initial credit purchase unless you have used more than 20% of your credits.

Can I request that Autom add an API for scraping another search engine?

Of course! We are always expanding our code and building new APIs for different search engines. You can create a feature request on our Public Roadmap at https://autom.featurebase.app/. We aren't able to build APIs for every search engine for a variety of reasons but we do always make additions where they are needed and able to be done.
